Richard combines his considerable 30 years of experience in leading global and regional Investment Banking teams with a Masters in Coaching to bring a focus upon engagement, culture, wellbeing and mental health.
Richard offers deep experience in establishing programs for mentoring, coaching and leadership at scale, in order to both help teams thrive, and people to realise their leadership potential.

Richard (Attrill) is an experienced and dedicated executive coach and mentor. He participated in the annual Women in Banking and Finance Mentoring Program in 2014 and in 2017.
On both occasions, he has been an exceptional mentor and contributed significantly to the professional and personal growth of his mentees.
The program has been running for 10 years and supports the development of female emerging leaders in the banking and finance industry.
Richard has supported the initiative for many years through his participation as a mentor but also as a senior executive at Westpac, committing the firm to sponsor the program. On behalf of Serendis and WiBF, I am very grateful for his continued support.
I am writing on behalf of Richard Attrill, and the work that he has done at Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB). Richard was one of the leaders of our Financial Markets business in London and subsequently Sydney, who has had a long career in financial markets with previous roles at Commerzbank, Credit Suisse and Barclays
Richard has always had a passion for people. Richard ran various derivative risk, structuring and advisory businesses within the investment bank and part of numerous leadership teams. His desire for further development led him to pursue a masters in Coaching Psychology at Sydney University.
Richard designed and implemented a global structured mentoring program across WIB working with our various business partners across the Globe. Wellbeing and mental health issues were a key focus, and this meant working with HR businesses globally. The program was highly structured. Noting the difference this was making as a game changer for staff - we awarded Richard and his program a Partnership award at the 200 year anniversary of Westpac in 2016.
